In this talk, we present the ill-posedness of the well-known Kelvin-Helmholtz problems of the the incompressible ideal magnetohydrodynamics(MHD) equations. We prove the linear and nonlinear Kelvin-Helmholtz instability under the condition that violates the Syrovatskij stability condition. From the opposite side, the importance of the magnetic field that satisfies the Syrovatskij stability condition to the stability of this problem has been verified.
