I'm an associate professor at the Academy of Mathematics and Systems Sciences within the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing. My interest in mathematics started at the University of Maryland, where I received my Bachelors in 2011 and Phd in 2016.

主要从事非线性偏微分方程行波解的存在性与稳定性研究。具体地，其研究涉及斜坡浅水波方程（Saint-Venant、Richard-Gavrilyuk）、自由表面水波方程、KdV-Burgers方程等所具备的激波、周期（激）波、水波、色散波的谱、线性、非线性稳定性。主要工作发表在Arch. Ration. Mech. Anal.，Comm. Math. Phys., J. Math. Pures Appl. 等著名杂志上。

2019年博士毕业于香港中文大学，之后在中科院数学院从事博士后工作，并于2021年加入中科院数学院。袁谦主要从事非线性偏微分方程理论，特别是流体力学中多种波形的稳定性问题。

I am currently an associate professor in Institute of Applied Mathematics, Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences. My current research is focused on large scale sparse optimization problems,  the design of efficient algorithms for statistical models and graphical models.
